Defining the neighbourhood

What is Woodbine & Gerrard?

"Woodbine & Gerrard" is not an official neighbourhood. It is part of what is sometimes called the Upper Beaches (or "Upper Beach"). It includes some of the area referred to as Upper Gerrard, and it is split between two official city neighbourhoods: the Woodbine Corridor (featured in the Toronto Life Real Estate Guide), and East End-Danforth.

This aerial map (from the City of Toronto's maps page) shows the approximate area this web site will be covering: from the railway tracks to the north, Eastwood Road/Corley Avenue to the south, Brookside Drive to the east, and the Williamson Ravine, Beaton Avenue and Highcroft Road to the west. The boundaries are not firm, and things slightly outside this area may be included here.

Additionally, since the area lacks a number of essential stores and services, some of those in the surrounding area will be listed.
